It has been quite a while since I posted last but Chris and
I have been fairly busy.
Unfortunately, we have quite a few friends who are PCS-ing
(moving to a different base) this Summer/Fall. We have been trying to fit in
some time with all of them before they leave. Chris has been busy volunteering
at the hospital (as a Technician) and working at the Natatorium (base pool) as
a Lifeguard. I am just starting a Medical Terminology class and studying to
take the SATs. These are the last steps I need to take to apply for the
Military Physician Assistant program in November.
Work has been pretty busy as well. Two of my co-workers
PCS’d in the last month. Our office went from five people to three people, now
back up to four. We are all females and our fifth person who is coming in will
be a male. That should be an interesting adjustment.
Last week at work, I received Group Staff Airman of the
Quarter. This week at work, I found out I am due for promotion. Up until now,
rank has been given by time in service as long as I didn’t mess up. This time
around, all the Senior Airmen in the Air Force had to take a test and were rated Air Force wide. I will be going
from Senior Airman to Staff Sergeant. I will be going from an Airman to a
Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO). Granted, this will not happen until around
April 2016 timeframe, but needless to say, it is an honor.
Lastly, we traded in our three-door toaster car and got 'Lil Red. Totally cute right? The car is too :)

I do not have much else to say, but I wanted all of my
family to hear that I am coming up in the world. :)
Love you all, have a good weekend!
